Question

I want to buy a new sound card. What do you suggest?

Answer

I am hardly a guru when it comes to sound cards, as I've only had three during the lifetime of Power Tab. I can tell you that the sound card I have, the SB Live, is cheap, and allows you to load SoundFonts and effects which can greatly improve MIDI instrument sounds. Unfortunately, the type of sound it improves least is that of the electric guitar. You can still get fairly decent bass, acoustic and nylon guitar sounds.
